What will my skin look like after treatment?
After your laser treatment, it's normal to experience some swelling, scabbing, blistering, or bruising. Immediately following the treatment, your tattoo may appear white before returning to a more normal look. Over time, your body will gradually begin to remove the ink.

The number of sessions you’ll need depends on factors like the tattoo's size, ink color, and how deeply it's inked. On average, it takes 5-10 sessions for full removal. If you're getting the tattoo lightened for a cover-up, fewer sessions will likely be required. Sessions are quick—small tattoos can take less than 5 minutes, while larger ones may take up to 20 minutes.

Is the treatment painful?
The discomfort level during a laser tattoo removal session can vary depending on your pain tolerance and where the tattoo is located. If you're concerned about pain, numbing creams are available over-the-counter at pharmacies or can be prescribed by your GP. These creams can help reduce discomfort to a level similar to when the tattoo was first applied. You can speak with your local pharmacist to find out which numbing creams they recommend.
